Introduction
A button can be used to control
what happens in a scene, using actions. You can for example change
scene, start or stop a video, rotate the images in a gallery or
much more. This is done in the actions settings
panel.
You can also use images and shapes to create
interactive elements.
The appearance of a button can be changed by clicking
Change Style. You can also choose an
icon for the button to make it more personal, via
the Change Icon dialog. You can choose
one image for the normal state, one image to be displayed when the
mouse pointer is over the button and one image to be displayed when
the button is pressed.
The Text Settings changes how the text will
look, and the actual text is changed by editing the
Label.
Skinning
The button can be given a unique look by using the
skinning feature. This is accomplished by
selecting the Custom Skin option from the
Change Style dialog and then clicking the
Change Skin button. In the Button Skin
Settings dialog, you can define images for the different
states of the button: up, over and down. You do this by simply
selecting images from the Library.
To prevent scaling and blurriness of the button's border when
using a custom skin, you can set the Scale
Grid for each of the button's four sides. An interactive
preview of the button is shown at all times.
