Add

You add content to your scene by using the tools under the Add menu. From here you can also add numerous components that all have different purposes and properties.

All content in Yooba Studio has certain standard settings and parameters which are always editable: position, scale, rotation and opacity. You access the settings for these properties through the panels called Transform and Style.

Position

To move an object, you drag it with your pointer or select the object and move it with the arrow keys. By pressing Shift when moving the object with the arrow keys it will be moved 10 pixels instead of 1.

You can also move objects through the Transform settings panel, where an exact pixel value for the move can be set. The co-ordinate system has its origin in the top left corner, so x-values increase to the right and y-values downwards.

Scale

By pulling the scale handles on the edges of an object you change its size. If you pull the handles on the corners while you press the Shift key, the object will be scaled uniformly, while preserving the aspect ratio. The handles on the sides will only scale the object horizontally or vertically, distorting the aspect ratio.

To scale an object relative to its centre you press Alt whilst resizing it.

It is also possible to change size through the Transform settings panel, via exact pixel values or via percentage sizing. Check the 'link height and width' icon to scale uniformly.

Rotation

Every object has a rotation circle in the middle of its selection box. By dragging this you can easily rotate objects. Press Shift to limit the rotation to 45 degree steps.

You can also rotate an object by changing the value in the Transform settings panel, where the rotation is shown in degrees.

Style

Every object has a settings panel controlling its style, where you can also edit its opacity. A lower value results in a more transparent object.
