Yooba Studio » The Library

Library

Introduction

The library is central in Yooba Studio when adding any kind of object. You navigate to the library via the Add tab in the toolbar, and then click Image. The library can also contain other types, such as saved scene templates, videos etc.

You can always access the library by double clicking anywhere on the work area.

The library appears as in the image below. If there are a lot of objects in a category, you can browse between the pages using the navigation menu at the top.

There is also a list view to make it easier to sort files by date, size etc.

Add objects from the library to the scene

There are three ways of adding an object to the scene:

  • Select the object you want to add and click Add.
  • Double click the object you want to add.
  • Grab the object and drag it to the scene.

Upload and use of own files

To upload a file of your own click Upload, select the file you want and click Ok. You can upload multiple files at a time.

The supported file types are:
Images: .jpg, .png, .gif
Flash Movies: .swf
Video: .flv
Sound: .mp3
Other files: .pdf

It's a good idea to minimise the file size of images you upload and use in your project. A tip is to prepare the files with the height, width and length they will need beforehand - because even if a picture is scaled down in Yooba Studio, its original size remains. Therefore create your graphics at the ratio of 1:1!  Your published project will load faster and run more smoothly.

Adding folders

You can create folders to organise your own files. To do this, click the Add Folder button and type in a folder name in the dialog that appears.

Add folder

Since the library can contain files of different types (such as images, videos and sounds) it's possible to filter for specific file types, using the drop-down in the top-right corner.

Removing folders and files

You can remove both personal folders and uploaded files. To remove a folder, select it and click the Remove button. To remove one or more files, simply select them and click the Remove button

Removing a folder will also remove all files in that folder. Caution: These operations cannot be undone.

Change size of thumbnails

By dragging the slider to the left and right you can change the size of the thumbnails.
